Can the installation of the LED 'mooninites' in Boston really be called a hoax if the intent to cause pandemonium was never there? How could these things be mistaken for IEDs? What's more, apparently these things have been up all over Boston and other cities for a few weeks now. How embarrassing for the City of Boston, BPD and government officials have come across as paranoid nervous nellies. Once officials realized the 'mooninites' were harmless, Mumbles Menino should have announced that fact, instead they allowed the city to remain in high alert, panic mode well into the early evening hours.
